La Bête is a visual story about the wild, warrior heart. How it is, at turns, masculine/feminine, seductive, direct, soft and aggressive...but most of all, beautiful in its expression. To exist as such within our society - in this manner of heart-led expression beside the mainstream ideals of what a warrior (and in particular, a feminine warrior) is, in many ways, frowned upon. Often the associated negatives of unbridled feminine power, when it has been fully embraced by an individual woman, becomes something to be feared, fought against and restricted. These visuals ask, why? In a landscape so desperate to be embraced by emotion (due to the overwhelming lack of it outside the overtly sexualized view), what is to be feared in acceptance?
